"I just wanted to do it – he deserved it"

A court has heard how Britain’s Got Talent comedian Jack Carroll, who came second aged 14 on the ITV show’s 2013 series, was the victim of a shocking assault during a night out before Christmas.

The 18-year-old star, who suffers from cerebral palsy, ended up on the ground with his walking frame on top of him after the assault.

According to the court case, the star was approached on a night out by a group of fans wanting a picture before one member of the guys turned aggressive

Following the incident, Jack came to learn that the attacker took to Twitter to post a series of vile comments regarding the assault.

19 year old Elliot O’Kane tweeted:

“Lots of people wanted to do that, I just wanted to do it – he deserved it,” following the incident on a street in Huddersfield.

O’Kane was sentenced to a community order with 40 hours of unpaid work and must pay Jack £100 compensation as well as £85 costs and victim surcharge.
